Some convenience stores will not open on January 1st. Japan

An union with convenience store owners announced a policy to refuse business on January 1st.

The purpose is to ask each convenience store franchise headquarters to improve the working environment.

Seven-Eleven: We plan to experimentally close January 1st at 50 stores in Tokyo.

Lawson: We plan to experimentally close January 1st at 50-100 stores in Tokyo.

Other convenience stores: Each franchise is experimenting with short-term sales.
